ThreadNote stores your bookmarks, threads, and notes locally in your browser. We don't collect, transmit, sell, or share that content. The only thing you can voluntarily send us is your email address, and only if you opt in to release notes.
chrome.storage.local: your bookmarks, sub-threads, color palette, and per-conversation thread history. This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly enable cloud sync (a future Pro feature) and connect your own cloud account. If you enter your email on this site or in the extension's welcome screen, that email is stored on a server we control for the sole purpose of sending you ThreadNote release announcements. We will send no more than a few emails per year. We never share or sell email addresses. You can request deletion at any time by emailing the address in the footer.
If you enable cloud sync in a future ThreadNote Pro version, you'll connect ThreadNote to a third-party cloud service of your choice (GitHub, Google Drive, or Notion). ThreadNote will write your bookmark and thread data directly from your browser to your chosen cloud account. ThreadNote does not store this data on our own servers, and we don't see it pass through. The cloud provider's privacy policy governs that data while it lives in their service.
ThreadNote is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
If we materially change this policy we will update this page and bump the "last updated" date. For significant changes (such as adding any new data collection), email subscribers will be notified.
